Task scheduling in the Cloud Environments based on an Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm

Nowadays, Cloud computing has gained vast attention due to its technological advancement, cost reduction and availability. In the Cloud environments, the suitable scheduling of the received tasks over service provides has become an important and vital problem. The scheduling problem in Cloud environments is an NPhard problem. Therefore, many heuristics have been proposed to solve this problem up to now. In this paper, we propose a new bee colony algorithm to schedule the tasks on service providers in the Cloud environments. The results demonstrated that the proposed algorithm has a better operation in terms of task execution time, waiting time and missed tasks.
